 Wash Your Dishwasher

You must have noticed a foul smell hovering over your dishwasher if you don’t give a routine clean-up. This is due to the accumulation of leftovers and gunk build-up over time.

Fret not, our star product Kool-Aid is just the right solution for this. Simply take all the dishes out of your dishwasher and pour a packet of lemon-flavored Kool-Aid powder in its detergent area. Run a normal cycle and the citric acid present in the Kool-Aid will do the rest of the work.

Make Concrete Stainless

Your concrete patio or driveway or garage floor might get rusty due to the furniture, tools, or other metal objects lying on it. This will cause it to look downright awful and destroy the whole beauty of your floor.

I bet you never thought of using Kool-Aid to treat those rusty stains. By mixing unsweetened lemon or orange flavor of Kool-Aid in a few drops of water, you can get rid of the stains. Just scrub off the stains, but don’t use a hard-bristled brush as it can scrape off the concrete. Repeat as needed.

 Remove Chlorine From Your Hair

If you’re a water baby like me, you’d love swimming more than anything. But a major consequence of swimming in chlorine water is the damage it does to our hair.

Even if it’s not your favorite activity, you must have come across this scenario once in a while. Try using lemon Kool-Aid with your regular shampoo to repair your chlorine-damaged hair. Massage for a minute or two, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and rinse it clean.

 Wash Your Pans And Pots

You must have noticed the stubborn grime build-up on pans and pots after every use. The oil and spices you use to prepare those lip-smacking dishes are the villains here.

If your regular dishwashing soap isn’t competent enough to get them off, try Kool-Aid. Mix a packet of Kool-Aid in a couple of teaspoons of water. Scrub this mixture on the dirty surface and wash it as you normally would. The lemon-flavored Kool-Aid can break down the grime particles making your pots and pans shiny again.

Remove Hard Water Stains From Faucets

Living in a region with a hard water supply can be pretty cumbersome. The minerals in the water can stain your gorgeous bathroom faucets. Looking for a quick solution? Simply prepare a mixture of a packet of Kool-Aid and one or two teaspoons of water.

Take a dampened cloth and rub this mixture on the faucets. The acid will get rid of the mineral deposits making your faucets shine like brand new fixtures. Finally, rinse them clean.

Wash Bathroom Grout And Tiles

Just like the magical packet of Kool-Aid can fix your rusty concrete floors, it can treat your bathroom’s grout and tiles as well. If your grout is undergoing the initial stages of gunk build-up, use this technique without second-guessing.

Take a cleaning brush, sprinkle a packet of Kool-Aid all over the grout and let it rest for a couple of minutes. This technique doesn’t require water addition if there’s enough water present on the bathroom surfaces beforehand. Now, scrub off the powder and wash the floor clean.

Clean Washing Machine

Have you ever realized how much your washing machine goes through? After constantly being loyal to you and washing your clothes well, it deserves a little treat as well.

Instead of your regular cleaning routine, you can utilize your favorite childhood beverage. Take a quarter cup of lemon or orange flavor Kool-Aid and pour it inside the detergent compartment. Run a regular wash cycle with warm water to get a fragrant and clean washing machine in just a few minutes.

Clean Your Blender

The blender is a kitchen appliance that’s required often but using it might lead to the build-up of foul smell in its jar. This happens due to a blend of flavors that you mix inside it.

You’ve already seen the way Kool-Aid cleans a dishwasher—the same cleaning action works for a blender as well. Just pour in a few drops of water and sprinkle in a packet of Kool-Aid. Switch it on and run it so that the Kool-Aid can get rid of any odors properly. Enjoy this frugal treatment!

DIY Dishwashing Detergent

I’m presenting you with the option of making homemade detergent using Kool-Aid. All you need is two cups of borax, two cups of baking soda, and four packets of unsweetened lemon Kool-Aid.

Put all the ingredients in a container and shake it well—that’s it! Now you won’t have to spend bucks on toxic commercial cleaners anymore. Just use two tablespoons of this detergent while washing a full load in your dishwasher.

Clean Toilet Bowls

One of the most unexpected uses of Kool-Aid in cleaning turned out to be toilet cleaning. Toilet bowls are the most vulnerable to grime deposition over time and are pretty disgusting.

The good news is that you can fix this issue with a little bit of effort. Just grab a packet of lemonade Kool-Aid and pour it into your toilet bowl. Let it sit for about 20 minutes (or an hour in case of stubborn stains), scrub using the toilet brush, and rinse it clean.

Clean Coffee Maker

Coffee makers are nothing less than a blessing for coffee-lovers like myself. But most of us are not aware that they require proper cleaning so I’m here to guide you through a hassle-free way for its cleaning.

Dissolve a packet of lemon Kool-Aid in 16 ounces of water, pour this solution into the coffee pot, and run a cycle. This will remove hard water stains and any foul odors from your coffee pot.

Restore Silverware

Treat your tarnished silverware with Kool-Aid to retrieve its shine back.

Make a solution with a packet of Kool-Aid, a cup of sugar, and 2 quarts of water. Immerse the affected silverware in the solution for about 10 minutes. Use a dampened cloth to clean up the residue
