When I asked her why she chose something so bold, she said, “It makes me feel festive and confident.” I didn’t know what to say. At her age, I didn’t expect her to pick something so flashy — it’s the kind of outfit you’d see at a nightclub, not a family dinner.
It got me thinking — why is it so hard for some people to embrace a more subtle style as they get older? I suppose confidence looks different for everyone.
