When Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston div:orced, the world fell silent. Fans were upset by the failed romance, but they were equally eager to see how the on-screen connection between the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood protagonist and actress Angelina Jolie would play out in real life.
Brad and Angelina eventually had a relationship.
Unfortunately, the pair split up years later, when Jolie filed for div:orce in 2016, shortly after reports of an alleged incident involving Pitt and the couple’s oldest son Maddox aboard the family’s private plane surfaced.
Pitt and Jolie’s breakup and lengthy custody fight are known as one of the most acrimonious in recent memory among celebrity couples.
Jolie sent an email to her ex-husband on January 21, 2021, which became public. In letter, she says she writes “with a heavy heart,” notifying Pitt of her intention to sell Miraval, “a business that is centered around alcohol.” Many feel this is an allusion to the aforementioned plane incident, in which Pitt allegedly restrained Maddox before pouring alcohol on her and the children.
The Maleficent star further wrote, “Even now impossible to write this without crying.
“Above all, it is the place we brought the twins home to, and where we were married over a plaque in my mother’s memory. A place…where I thought I would grow old…. But it is also the place that marks the beginning of the end of our family.
In February 2021, Pitt agreed to pay Jolie $54.5 million for her Miraval interest. However, the corporate transaction was hampered by their ongoing div:orce proceedings.
She delivered sealed documents containing information about the plane incident, and Pitt wanted Jolie to sign an NDA prohibiting her from “discussing outside of court any of Pitt’s personal conduct toward her or the family” in exchange for the sale of the property.
Jolie dubbed the request an “unconscionable gag order.”
Pitt, on the other hand, presented his request as critical to the sale because he wanted to “ensure the seller doesn’t damage the value of the asset after being paid for it.”
After the drama surrounding their div:orce, Pitt has moved on and is currently dating someone else.
“Brad is very selective and intentional about who he dates. According to a source, he prefers to take things slowly and allow them to develop naturally.
According to rumors, Pitt’s new girlfriend is Ines de Ramon, who previously married Paul Wesley of Vampire Diaries fame. People close to the pair claim they are “happy being low-key.”
