This story will bring tears to your eyes…

A man was just 45 years old when his wife passed away…His relatives and friends advised him to remarry…

But he never married again or settled down. He had only one son. And he just wanted to focus on raising him.

Whenever someone asked him why he doesn’t want to marry again…

He replied, “My son is a gift to me from my wife. I will look after him well and my life will be successful with his success.”

The man fulfilled his promise… His son grew up…After his graduation, he started handling his father’s business. Soon…the son got married in grand style! The father decided that it was his time to retire. He handed out his business to his son and retired.

After a year or so, the father had his breakfast a bit early one morning

He wanted to eat some curd. So, he asked his daughter-in-law, “Daughter, is there curd in the fridge?”. The daughter-in-law said that there was no curd.

His daughter in law said there was no curd….this was heard by his son…who was entering the dining area for breakfast.

The son heard it from the other room.

After the father had his breakfast, the son and his wife sat down to have breakfast….The wife came with a bowl of curd.

The son realized that his wife had lied to his father. After having his breakfast and with no comments, the son also left home for office.

The son couldn’t stop thinking about the curd incident.

He just couln’t get it out of his head. That night he went back home and couln’t sleep the whole night.

The next morning, the son went to the father and said…“Father, it’s time that you get married. I want you to remarry”.

His father told him “Son, I do not need a second marriage at this age and I give you all the love, you do not need a mother. Why should I get married now?”

The son smiled and replied, “Father, I don’t want a mother for me. I’m not getting you a new wife. I just want you to have a bowl of curd every morning. I want someone who would serve you that”.

The son handed over the business back to his father. He moved out of the house with his wife to a rented apartment.

The son said to his father, “I want to work under you, dad. Just like a normal paid worker”

The father asked, “Son, Why do you want to live like this?”

The son replied, “Because I want my wife to know the value of a bowl of curd.”

Our parents sacrifice their whole life for us…We must not forget them once we are settled!
